Star Wars: The Essential Atlas, LucasBooks, 2009
In 2008, artist/illustrator Chris Trevas contacted me for possible reference in a portrait he would be making of The Emperor Reborn. The final image is one of hundreds in the lushly illustrated Star Wars: The Essential Atlas.

Notes;
1. The nose, eyes and mouth have been rendered to appear as actor Ian McDiarmid, The Emperor.
2. As to the detail of the eyes. I wear white-out contacts to give the impression that the pigment in the pupils of the newly birthed clone has not yet formed. This is meant to compliment the off-colour skin and hair.
3. The Clone Emperor is the title Kenner Toy gave to this character to distinguish it from The Emperor of the Star Wars movies. "In universe," the various reincarnations of Darth Sidious would be referred to as The Emperor Reborn.
