2005 Convention Melange
I regularly attend a number of local conventions and events each year. As is my interest, I like to make galleries of highlights and efforts of costumed attendees. This year my own costume made hindered my ablity to use a camera. Although I did take some images while in my civilian wear, the majority of costume images I have were taken by my friend Patrick Riley. I have consolidated the images from these events here;
City of Chicago Halloween Parade 2005 or Chicagoween is an annual celebration for children and adults alike. Membres of The Midwest Garrison are honoured to support an Imperial presence in the festival each year. (top)

Gen Con Indianapolis 2005 is one of the world's largest annual gaming conventions. Lasting four days, halls were open 24 hours to accommodate the needs of power gamers. This convention also featurs a fabulous artists' gallery, programs with guest speakers, and a costume contest. (top)

Wizard World Chicago 2005 is an annual comic and collectibles convention. Sci-fi actors, artists, and even musicians were also present in force to complete this something-for-everyone atmosphere. (top)

Flashback Weekend 2005 is an annual fan convention in Rosemont, Illinois celebrating the best in horror, fantasy, and science fiction. This convention played host to a number of actors and artists in the horror industry. Distinguishing this event from other conventions was a portable drive-in movie theatre for true horror-flick ambience. (top)
