Normally I don't go out of my way to visit with celebrities at conventions. I'm thrifty and I don't like the akwardness of speaking to someone whose autograph cost more than I make in a hour. But when I heard cast members from Joss Whedon's Firefly were on hand at this years Dragon*Con I made sure to be there to shake their hands. Here Jewel Staite (the winsome ship's mechanic Kaylee) and Nathan Fillion (captain Mal Reynolds) cozy up to share a table.

Celebrities are folk like everyone else, and if they realize it, then they are cool in my book. (Best celebrity I have yet met is Jeremy Bulloch, aka Boba Fett from Star Wars.)
