Darth Bane,
helm revisited; back
In preparation for a proper production mold, I needed to remove the left and the right "processes" from the back of the helm. This was a painstaking ordeal. Each process was connected by five "fingers" and each finger presented its own challenge in cutting. In the end, the two inner most connecting points of each process could not be completely cut through. Instead, I mustered my courage and cracked the final fingers along cut scores. The while the damage was minimal, more material than I would have liked was removed. To compensate I cleaned the edges on the removed processes and rebuilt the back of the fingers to meet the edges.
