5th of May, 2002, Indianapolis. This couple is portraying two characters from opposite ends of the Star Wars Expanded Universe timeline. Rick is portraying Ulic Qel-Droma from The Tales of the Jedi storyline, 4,000 years before the events of The Phantom Menace. Jeri's character is after Luciena Kl'Fayr from a tale twenty years after the fall of the second Death Star. I had the pleasure of meeting Rick and Jeri during the Star Wars Celebration II costume contest. Of particular distinction is Rick's light sabre, which he first drafted in an autocad program, cut on a lathe, then had nickel plated. He even made his own EL blade from scratch.
