Veronika's outfit is a faithful reproduction of the rebel leader Mirith Sinn. Derek's attire is based on Mirith Sinn's nemesis from the same storyline, the Imperial guardsman Kir Kanos. This explains the excellent reproduction of the Imperial glaive he carries. You
