For the Devil's Golden Fiddle, I called a number of used musical instrument stores. In the end, I located the perfect candidate; a full-sized violin whose restoration would cost more than the instrument was worth. I purchased this instrument because I did not want to take one out of circulation that could be used by a real musician. Even so, it was with some tribulation that I transformed the fiddle into this most lustrous colour.
