The 6th day of the 6th month of the 6th year of the second millennia (as observed in modern Western date notation) came and passed. Abbreviated 666, some noted the day to stand for "the mark of the beast." Please let me assure you this date has no actual religious or ritual significance.

Some took to enterprise on this date. Forsooth there were those who literally sought commerce with the Devil. "The Alley" of Chicago, a shopping district for alternative and deviant needs celebrated the evening with a sale, a "human sacrifice" (oh please) and a "Best Lucifer" costume contest.

My colleague and prosthetic master, Joe Lester, and I answered the call. (We were rather compelled to do so.)
