Plastilina oil-base clay, silicon rubber, casting wax, silica sand shell, aluminum pour, and elbow grease. That describes about fifty hours of my tyme in the first half of the year 2002, and why perhaps I have not seen more cast lightsabres in the custom lightsabre circuit. This image is a collage taken right from the scanner bed. My sabre is almost finished. Fitting the electronics for the purposed EL blade will require a bit more metal work--a 3/4" metal-carbite bit to be precise. In the next May I will be posting images and notes from the construction of this sabre. You
