Holocron and Boda Baas

[ back ] [ forth ]

Despite the seismic pressure brought about by tyme restraints, this Jedi Holocron was a fun and rewarding piece to construct. Among the positive experiments in the creation process was that of using an ink jet printer to transfer a computer graphic to Shrinky Dink shrinkable plastic. The individual panels of the cube began as 8" squares with the design printed upon them. The panels were then baked and reduced to about half their original size. The circuitry of the Holocron is faintly visible through the walls of the cube itself.
