: Laurie A.
M. I met Laurie when I became sixteen years olde, at an age where I struggled to define myself. Laurie is singular and I have never met anyone like her since. To my way of thinking, Laurie acted as a matron for odd community of teenage misfits like myself. Laurie brought strange and new ideas and people into my experience, expanding my mind in a wonderfully unforeseen manner. When we were not fighting a battle of egos, we were the business of making fun and lasting memories. In this way, I grew to respect and care for Laurie greatly. Today my friend Laurie is a matron again, with her own family and beautiful daughter Sophia. This portrait speaks to me of someone very precious. In many ways. Thank you Laurie.
