I want to paint a picture of Abigail for you. She is a virago, in the archaic sense. She is a mama, without ever having had children herself. Possessed of long dark hair, powerful hands, and sincere compassion for the well being of others, Abigail would make a fine incarnation of Gaia, the Earth spirit.

My dear friend presented me with her self portrait at a packed Rock-a-billy concert at the Chicago land night club Martyr's. Rock-a-billies are some fabulously fun folk. Abigail also lovingly constructed a beaded box to protect her creation. I must take additional photographs.

Of all the contributions I have received to date, Abigail's was the hardest and most tyme consuming to prepare for viewing in this websight. But then, Abigail's is one of the most elaborate, most lovingly made creations in this project.
