Fired Spirit Tree
The nostalgia that is me
Is forever carried over
Through the burning,
Never lifted of
My Fired Spirit Tree
Consistently holding such grace
So gently painted unevenly
Across my face
These strokes
Half-witted I joke
In any questions
That will surface
Come instantly under fire
For which my branches
Then sprout out
Of my desires

WAIT...

And frequently begin to see
The nostalgia will forever
Come through me
Carefully drip
From my face
The fired grace
Carried through my endless
Fired Spirit Tree

I met Jackie for lunch to discuss her contribution. Jackie is an artist, mind, body and soul. I appreciate the fact that she felt comfortable enough with me to share her journal, even though we have only just met.

Jackie has always identified with trees. A tree was the first thing to come into her mind when she heard of this project. Above all trees Jackie's favourite is the Willow. But Jackie also felt a need to convey the passion that courses through her veins, some what of feat when the vehicle of conveyance is the graceful form of the Willow. And thus the fyre red hue.
