Melting Into Shape
Plastic Ð sense of myself
Stretch my world
Straight into forced plastic pieces
Flexing the heat of hell

Shattered Ð sense of the rest
Stinging pieces
Leaving red lines
Passing through a Shattered sense of time

The glue of depression
Fits together a need for succession
Past the heat
Found in plastic Ð shattered
Pieces of defeat

Cushion me Ð to sense the reality
Of my perception
"This time will not always be"
The plastic Ð shattered Ð cushion
Wrapped around me

Stop bending the lines
Settle down this time
And leave me
Floating up to find
The ground

I was excited to have produced clear images of Jackie's contribution so quickly -- thanks to the aid of my digital camera. Out of respect for Jackie's effort I uploaded the images the next day. But it took me a good couple of weeks to collect my thoughts and have a free moment to enter them on these pages. In the meanwhile Jackie found the images I had posted but was hurt that I had seemingly nothing to say for her work. This miscommunication was cleared up directly but brings up a point; I am beholden of each and every participant in this project. I try to place new entries as soon as possible as a measure of my gratitude and respect toward the individual artist. But some pieces are harder to digitize than others. Others still are even harder to write about. From documenting, scanning and photographing, cleaning up and formatting, to commentary I average six hours to a completed piece. And then I still go back months latter and revise some entries. But every piece is important to me. The last of which to be completed are some of the most dearest to me. The foundation of Paralada.org is a thank you to all my friends for their contributions to my life.
